Ajejdrikdrik Incorporated has been lending to a wide variety of customers, from various industries, nationality and sources of income. A large portion of these borrowers are also regular customers of money remittance centers when they need to transact money from their salary or loan proceeds. It was from this need that 80M was born to provide a remittance service that is convenient and inexpensive compared to the current money transfer services being offered in the island. The parent company, Ajejdrikdrik Incorporated, was founded in January 2001 in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI). During its few years of operation, Ajejdrikdrik was mainly extending loans to serve the financial needs of the survivors and beneficiaries of the victims of the nuclear testing program done by the United States from 1946 to 1954 in four RMI Atolls (Rongelap, Utrik, Bikini and Enewetak). As Ajejdrikdrik progresses, such loans were extended to other clients, making the client-base wider than what was originally intended. Ajejdrikdrik provided consumer and business loans not only to the resident of the Marshall Islands but also who sojourn in the Republic of the Marshall Islands for contractual work.
